I set up this page to help those who are suffering with panic attacks (also known as anxiety attacks) and provide useful information how to stop with panic attacks. As a former sufferer of panic disorder I wanted to understand what exactly was going on with my body and what I could do to help myself. I hope the information I have gathered also helps you.  

 

Here are a few tips on what you can do to stop panic attacks.  

 

If you are one of the many people who have experienced a panic attack than you know it is a very unpleasant experience. During these episodes my heart would speed up rapidly and I would have a hard time breathing. I would also tense up and have a feeling of total helplessness. 

 

One of the first thing I discovered was that sharing how I felt, what I had experienced, and sharing with other ways I stop panic attacks helped me cope much better. 

 

Others who where also trying to cope with panic attacks learned from my experiences and how I dealt with mine. 

 

Their are many great resources online that have free information on how to deal with panic attacks. I found that some of these tips were great and they not only helped with my panic disorder, but also improved my quality of life.  

 

Just doing simple things like improving my diet and exercising more regularly helped in stopping my panic attacks.

HOW TO STOP PANIC ATTACKS IN PUBLIC

 

Having a panic attack while you are out in public can be a truly scary experience if you are not prepared. When you are out with lots of people around it may seem like they are all watching at you. Most likely they are not, they are too busy with their own lives and activities to watch and judge you.  

 

How to stop panic attacks when you are out in public is to do what you would do naturally, which is to breath. Sometimes the intensity of the panic attack can cause you to panic and forget to breathe. 

 

If you take a moment to gather yourself and take control of your breathing you will be able to function in public and your panic attack shall slowly dissipate. 

 

A place in public where you can take control of your breathing is a public restroom. There is a place to sit and you can get a little privacy as you calm yourself down until the panic attack passes along.  

 

HOW TO STOP PANIC ATTACKS FROM AFFECTING YOUR LIFE 

 

If you don't deal with your panic attacks, they can take over your life and rule you with fear. I personally take time out of my day to just relax and have a little fun.  

 

You don't want to stress yourself out. You also want to minimize the presence of people who are a negative influence in your life and don't support you. 

 

Another way to take control of your panic disorder is to find panic attack support groups and message forums online. It can be a relief to know that their are many others out their like you that know what your going through. Talking about your situations and sharing tips  can be a therapeutic experience.

 

These tips can make an impact on how to stop panic attacks from affecting your life. Once I applied them I discovered that it greatly reduced the anxiety I experienced on a daily basis.
